2 female gymnasts from the Chinese Olympic team might be under age.

An article in New York Times brings to light records that show 2 of Chinese Olympic team members are 14 rather then 16, which is the age minimum to compete in the Olympics.

2 athletes in question are He Kexin and Jiang Yuyuan.

Chinese officials have provided New York Times with the copies of their passports however further research show online records that state both are in fact 14.

The International Gymnastics federation got the same copies of the passports and they seem to check out. However if there is no official complaint made nothing can be done.

It is expected that the United States and China will battle for the gold.
