Denver Broncos Fire Mike Shanahan

“After giving this careful consideration, I have concluded that a change in our football operations is in the best interests of the Denver Broncos,” owner Pat Bowlen said.

Crennel out; Cowher not going to Cleveland

Soon after the Cleveland Browns fired head coach Romeo Crennel, former Steelers coach Bill Cowher was quickly taken off the list of possible replacements.
