6-time NFL Pro Bowler La’Roi Glover retires

Six-time Pro Bowl defensive end La’Roi Glover has decided to retire from the NFL after 13 seasons in the league.
“I’m blessed that I was able to play this game that I love for so long,” Glover said in a news release announcing his decision. “It has been such an incredible journey.
Glover was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the 5th round of the 1996 draft. He also spent time with the New Orleans Saints, the Dallas Cowboys and most recently, the St. Louis Rams.
“I still love the game with the same passion I had as a young player in high school, so I plan to always be attached to it in some way, whether commentating, working in the front office, or scouting,” Glover said. “But who knows what opportunities await in the next chapter of my life.”
Glover is not deserving of being in the hall of fame, but he had a great career recording a total of 83.5 sacks – tied for 37th on the all-time list.
