The one and only female to represent Afghanistan at the Olmypics has gone missing from training in Italy.

It is believed that 19-year old Mehboba Ahdyar has fled to Norway and will seek political asylum.

However the Afghanistan’s national Olympic committee claims that Ahdyar suffered a leg injury and is recuperating in Italy with her family.

Since her passport and stuff is gone that just might be the case, however this would not be the first case of an athlete running for it sort to speak at the first opportunity.
