St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols is considering reconstructive elbow surgery which would could keep him out until next season.
“I’m thinking about it,” Pujuls said. “I’m thinking really hard. I think in the long run the sooner that I get it done, the better it’s going to be for me because I’m going to heal quicker than if I wait two or three years. But it needs to be done.”
If Pujols opts for the surgery it will be a huge blow for the Cardinals and I doubt they could overcome losing him. Managment will do whatever they can to keep him off the operating table until the offseason.
