American beach volleyball players Todd Rodgers and Phol Dalhausser will play for the Olympic gold against Brazil’s Marcio Araujo and Fabio Luiz after defeating Georgia’s Renato Gomes and Jorge Terceiro in the semifinals 21-11, 21-13.

“It hasn’t hit me yet that I’m going to be playing in a gold-medal match,” said Dalhausser. “Give me a few hours and it’ll smack me in the face.”

Marcio and Fabio Luiz have beaten Rodgers and Dahausser 5 out of the 5 times they’ve faced off in the past but the American due is playing better than they ever have together.
