The hottest tennis star in the world, Ana Ivanovic, has advanced to the 2nd round of the French Open after beating Sara Errani 7-6 (3), 6-3 Sunday in her opening match.

“I knew I had to work hard for my points today, and I’m very happy I did that,” Ivanovic said. “And I kept my composure.”

Ivanovic is the defending French Open champion but after missing this month’s Madrid tournament with a knee injury critics were wondering if she would be healthy enough to repeat.

I just have to keep my head down and work tough through the matches,” Ivanovic said.
