Big Baby returning to Boston

Glen “Big Baby” Davis will return to the Boston Celtics after the 23-year old forward agreed to a new $6 million, 2-year deal.
“Glen really came into his own last season in the second half when he got a chance to play,” General Manager Danny Ainge said. “He wants to play. Just like all young players, he wants a more significant role.”
The new contract will allow Davis to become a unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2011.
“I feel like I’ve grown up so much this whole summer in terms of being a professional and being an adult,” Davis said. “The Celtics organization is a great thing to be a part of.”
We think Davis is a tad overrated, but it’s not like the Celtics are over paying him. His base salary will be $5 million and he’ll have a chance to earn an additional 500,000 per season if he meets certain clauses in the new contract.
