New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had nothing but high praise for Michael Vick when he was asked about the Patriots interest in signing the dog killer.

“Michael is an outstanding player, hasn’t played in a couple of years,” Belichick said. “But right now, our focus is on our team and our players and trying to get the New England Patriots ready and so that’s really where my attention’s been. But he’s a tremendous athlete. Where exactly he is right now, I don’t know.”

We would be surprised if the Patriots sign Vick, but it does make some sense. The Patriots could use him to create a lot of confusion for opposing defenses by throwing in a wildcat formation every now and then.

One things for sure, it would be a lot of fun to watch.
