Bills Make Evans Third Highest-Paid Receiver in the NFL
The Buffalo Bills have signed wide receiver Lee Evans to a -4-ear, $37.25 million contract extension, including $18.25 million in guarantees, making him the 3rd highest paid receiver in the National Football League behind only the Panthers’ Steve Smith and the Cardinals’ Larry Fitzgerald.
“It’s really hard to put into words. I’m very excited,” Evans said.
“I really wanted to stay here. We have a great group of guys and a great organization to be a part of.”
Evans is a very good receiver but he hasn’t been great long enough to deserve this type of contract. It’s nice to a see a franchise that is so eager to reward their star player but a little patience could have benefited them in this situation.
