Brett Favre Back in Green Bay
Future Hall of Fame Quarterback Brett Favre has officially ended his 5 month retirement and is back in Green Bay to compete with Aaron Rodgers for the starting position.
“Sixteen years after Brett Favre came to the Packers, he is returning for a seventeenth season,” Mark Murphy, the team’s president and chief executive, said in a statement released by the team. “He has had a great career with our organization and although we built this year around the assumption that Brett meant what he said about retiring, Brett is coming back. We will welcome him back and turn this situation to our advantage.”
Don’t worry Viking fans, Favre could still be traded and most likely will be in the near future. The Packers have been saying all off-season that Aaron Rodgers is their guy and I don’t see that changing, with or without Favre.
One things for sure, this will be a very busy news week in Green Bay.
