Brett Favre has been traded to the New York Jets for a conditional draft pick.

“Brett has had a long and storied career in Green Bay, and the Packers owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude for everything he accomplished on the field and for the impact he made in the state,” Green Bay officials said in a statement. “It is with some sadness that we make this announcement, but also with the desire for certainty that will allow us to move the team and organization forward in the most positive way possible.”

Exact terms of the trade are not yet known but the Jets are believed to give up a 4th round draft pick that will increase in value depending on their success this season.

Favre should be happy, he won’t have to throw away all of his green clothes but I hope he doesn’t plan on winning many games because the Jets are still horrible with or without him.
