Browns trade away their Soldier
The Cleveland Browns have traded former Pro Bowl tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday for undisclosed draft picks.
“Cleveland was great to me,” Winslow said. “I had a great time playing with Braylon Edwards, Brady Quinn. I’m going to miss those guys. But it’s also a new opportunity. I’ve played with some of the guys on this team — Jeff Faine, Antonio Bryant, Luke McCown. I’m as happy as can be. I’m healthy.”
Stupid move by the Browns and new head coach Eric Mangini. In the few games they played together last season, Winslow was by far Brady Quinn’s favorite target. Unless they plan on trading for Tony Gonzalez there is no way they’ll find a better tight end than Sgt. Winslow.
