In his first game as the Green Bay Packers new starting quarterback, Aaron Rodgers completed 9 of 15 passes with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. And for the most part the crowd cheered him on.

“I’ve always felt like we have the best fans in the NFL, and that they would support our team regardless of how they feel about myself, or Brett, or management or whatever,” Rodgers said. “But it was a great reception when we took the field.”

Rodgers played extremely well considering the pressure he’s been under these past few weeks. He performed much better than the stats would indicate because the Packer receivers dropped some very catchable balls.

Green Bay Packers starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers is getting tired of the constant boos and put-downs from Favre fans.

“I understand it to some point if I put myself into a Favre fanatic’s shoes,” Rodgers said of getting booed. “The things I can’t understand, the things I really take personally, is when I’m driving up to the (parking lot) gate and punching in my punch code and somebody says ‘F.U.’ to me. That kind of bothers me. Or when a little kid is yelling swear words at me. That kind of gets to me. The boos, they expect a high level of play and they miss Brett Favre. I understand that. But the ‘F.U.’ and the little kids saying swear words to me, I don’t understand that.”

Don’t worry about it Aaron, I’ve been saying this for years — Stupid people shouldn’t breed. Favre nuthuggers don’t give a shit about you or the Packers, all they care about is their beloved over-the-hill Favre.

“I don’t need people to feel sorry for me,” Rodgers said. “Playing quarterback is a tough job and there’s a lot of scrutiny that goes along with that. You get too much blame some of the times, you get too much blame some of the times. You’ve just got to stay balanced. When you realize things happen for a reason, you don’t question why they happen, you realize it’s going to be an experience. The last three years, and this past off-season, have made me the person I am, and I wouldn’t have changed it for anything.”
