Thanks to Larry Fitzgerald’s stupid brother, Marcus, there’s now a huge controversy surrounding his feelings towards quarterback Kurt Warner. During the Cardinals game against the Jaguars on Sunday, Marcus was busy attacking Warner on Twitter.

“Kurt Warner plays like a damn 80 year old! my brother just texted me during halftime pissed off,” Larry’s little brother tweeted.

And the tweets just kept coming.

“Kurt warner needs 2 stop bein a scary *** & throw the ball deep 2 my brother!damn this is annoying 2 watch!he throws 2 the rb’s 2 damn much!”

After the game, Marcus still couldn’t shut up

“Just got off the phone with my brother, Marcus tweeted after the Cardinals 31-17 victory over the Jaguars. “He’s happy about the win. But PISSED he didnt get the ball thrown 2 him much!”

Larry needs to beat the shit out of his little brother and make him shut up ASAP or these tweets will begin to hurt his public perception.

The Arizona Cardinals have released running back Edgerrin James on Tuesday, just 3 days after drafting Beanie Wells.

“Edgerrin James had a great run in Arizona and now it is time for him to continue his Hall of Fame career elsewhere,” James’ agent Drew Rosenhaus said. “One of his goals was to help the Cardinals get to a Super Bowl and he is eager to help another team get to that same level. Edgerrin is excited about signing with a new team. So far, several teams have expressed interest and we may have a deal in place in the very near future.”

James is 30-years old and doesn’t have anything left in the tank. I’m not sure who, if anybody, will be interested in signing him – he’s just not any good anymore.

The 2009 NFL is now over and while many people think the Jets trade up to grab USC QB Mark Sanchez with the 5th overall pick was the best selection made over the weekend, I have to disagree. In fact, I believe Sanchez’s weak arm is a horrible fit for the Jets who are currently built for a gunslinger.

Our favorite pick was the Arizona Cardinals 31st overall selection of Ohio State’s Chris “Beanie” Wells.

Wells is an absolute beast who is every bit as talented as Adrian Peterson, with exception to his receiving ability. And what is the one thing the Cardinals lacked last season? A strong, powerful running game.

It’s starting to look like Anquan Boldin will end up back in Arizona next season so the Cardinals will have all of their key guys back and in addition, they’ll have a punishing rushing attack that just adds to their already unstoppable offense.

Get ready for the greatest show on turf all over again.

On a side note, the Raiders seriously took Darrius Heyward-Bey before Michael Crabtree?? Somebody needs to tell Al Davis to stop taking his medical marijuana during the draft.

The Arizona Cardinals have said they’re willing to listen to offers for disgruntled wide receiver Anquan Boldin.

“Before the draft, you know there is going to be talk about Anquan and his situation and a trade,” Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “Since not a whole lot has changed with his contractual situation, we know that will come back. It would be foolish from out standpoint not to listen to those opportunities and see what actually exists. But I want to make the points — our goal is to re-sign him to a long-term deal. That hasn’t changed.”

Boldin became upset with the team when they signed teammate Larry Fitzgerald to a four-year, $40 million last season. Boldin believes he is also worth every bit of that; currently he is still playing on a six-year, $33.99 million deal contract that he signed back in 2005.

Boldin is a talented receiver but he is nowhere near as good as Fitzgerald.

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner resently had surgery on his left hip to repair a torn labrum.

“Everything went well and I’m feeling great,” Warner said in a statement. “I began rehab on a stationary bike just a few hours after surgery and then a couple of more times today.”

Warner played last season despite the injury but the surgery should immediatly improve his range of motion with the hip.

“Although I could have continued to play with it, I felt this was the best for short-term success on the field as well as long-term comfort off the field,” Warner said. “I am ready to go back to work and back to normal so we can build on what we accomplished last season.”

Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals agreed to a two-year, $23 million deal contract with $19 million guaranteed on Wednesday.

“We’re ecstatic about the commitment the organization has made to us,” Warner said. “Now it’s my job for the next two years to go fulfill my part of the deal.”

The Cardinals will give Warner $15 million signing bonus and a $4 million base salary in the next 2 seasons.

“We wanted to come up with a number that was fair to Kurt, and to be able to do that within the context of other team objectives,” Cardinals general manager Rod Graves said.

I don’t know what took them so long but it’s about time the Cardinals lock up Warner for the immediate future. Without Warner under center the Cardinals are would have been lucky to get 6 wins last season. This deal had to get done if Arizona wants to make another Super Bowl run.

According to his agent Mark Bartelstein, Kurt Warner is looking for a huge contract that will have a salary among the top 4 or 5 highest paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

“My bottom line is I want to keep this team together and I want to have a chance to win a championship and that’s the most important thing,” Warner said in the radio interview, “and I want to be compensated as well because I know these are probably going to be the last two years I’m going to play.”

There’s no doubt Warner deserves to be one of the highest paid QB’s in the league but he needs to remember the down years he had not too long ago. He’s in a great situation; he needs to recognize that and take a slight paycut to stay with the Cardinals.

Kansas City Chiefs have hired Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Todd Haley as their new head coach.

Todd is very bright,” Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli said. “He’s extremely dedicated and very strong-willed. Those are the qualifications I was looking to partner with, [owner Clark Hunt] was looking to partner with, and we really feel Todd is the right guy and is going to do a heck of a job here.”

Haley is from the Bill Parcells coaching tree and takes a no nonsense approach to coaching, which was evident when he had a sideline arguement with star receiver Anquan Boldin during the AFC championship game.

“It’s part of how I coach,” Haley said. “It’s part of how I motivate, and I like to think I’ve had some success doing it. But obviously, you’ve got to keep things in check. It’s something I’ll turn to if I need to. But I’ll do my best to keep from losing control.”

The Chiefs have them self a great football coach. Give him 2 seasons and Kansas City will be playoff bound.
