Fake Basketball Trick Shot

A couple of dumbasses are trying to claim that the above trick shot is real. The shot was supposedly made from the 3rd Deck of Texas A&M’s Football Stadium. We’re not buying it, this shit is as fake as Joan Rivers’ face.

Lisa Leslie Has Played Her Last Game In The WNBA

Lisa Leslie has confirmed her retirement from basketball after losing to Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA semifinals.

“Today is my last day of playing professional basketball, but I will stay close to the game because I feel I need to be a part of it,” Leslie told reporters after the loss.“I feel great, You know why? Because I have no regrets. Every time I stepped out on that court I played as hard as I could, I’ve left everything out there.

Leslie is one of the original WNBA players and without her there probably wouldn’t be a women’s basketball league. Even if you have never watched a WNBA game in your life, chances are you know who Lisa Leslie is.

Josh Childress going back to Greece

For a short period of time former Atlanta Hawks guard Josh Childress was considering returning to NBA, but after giving it some thought he has decided to return to Greece.

“When I left Greece to come back [here to the U.S.], I had it in my head that was going back to Greece no matter what,” Childress recently told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Then when I got home and had my feet on the ground for a couple of days, I really wanted to explore my options and see what was out there. It was 50-50 from there.”

Childress, 26, played 4 years with the Hawks before deciding to leave the NBA to pursue a pro basketball career in Greece. He averaged 13.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.3 steals last season with his Greek team the Olympiakos.

“My team did well, but there’s no question, I didn’t have the year I wanted to have,” Childress said. “And with that being said, I have some serious work left to do in Athens. That was part of my decision to go back, as well.”

Enjoy the rest of your career in Greece! Nobody in the United States really cares if you ever come back or not.

Michael Jordan’s son is quitting basketball

Jeffrey Jordan, the son of the greatest basketball player ever, Michael Jordan, has announced he is quitting the University of Illinois basketball team to focus on his academics.

“I loved playing for the Fighting Illini and appreciate the support I was given by my teammates, coaches and the great fans here,” Jordan said. “But I have come to the point where I’m ready to focus on life after basketball. I will concentrate on earning my degree from the University of Illinois and the opportunities that await upon graduating.”

Jordan joined the team as a walk-on in 2007. In 2-years with the team he only recorded total of 58 points, 42 assists and 24 rebounds in 59 games.

His brother Marcus recently committed to the University of Central Florida and is considered the better basketball player between the two.

Hedo Turkoglu will test free agency

After losing in the NBA finals to the Lakers, Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu plans seek more money in free agency.

“I think Hedo distinguished himself in this playoff run,” his agent, Lon Babby said. “He’s in a different spot than he was before the playoffs began. He’s a rare player, a unique player who helped take a team to the Finals. He’s grateful for the opportunity he has been given. He’s enjoyed his time in Orlando. It’s a solid organization, a team on the rise. Hedo will weigh his options.”

Turkoglu is entering the final year of his current $36 million, six-year contract. He would be scheduled to make $7.3 million next season under his current deal.

“It would make sense for him to opt out,” Babby said. “I can’t imagine a scenario in which he would not.”

For the most part Turkoglu played very well for the Magic this year but it will be interesting to see who, if anyone, will give him a huge contract.

Lakers destroy Rockets 118-78

The Los Angeles Lakers took a 3-2 lead of the Houston Rockets after dominating them 118-78 on Tuesday night.

“We’ve got to stay focused and understand that the effort we gave tonight is not going to be enough on Thursday. It’s just not,” Kobe Bryant said. “We’re not playing some chump team. I don’t care how many people they have out. This is a tough team, it’s a tough team full of competitors.”

Thhe Lakers dominated the game in every aspect.

These 2 teams will meet again on Thursday night in Houston.

Orlando wins series over 76ers

Even without Dwight Howard the Orlando Magic dominated the Philadelphia 76ers 114-89 to advance to the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs.

“They’re actually better without Dwight Howard,” Sixers guard Andre Miller said. “One of their players told me that they were better without Dwight Howard. They said the ball moves quicker. They’re not standing around a lot.”

The Magic are not better without Howard but his 1-game suspension allowed other players to step up and carry the team.

Rashard Lewis led Orlando with 29 points while Marcin Gortat recorded 15 rebounds.

Great team effort by the Magic.
