The Florida State board of trustees has been very public with their feelings towards their legendary coach Bobby Bowden. Chairman Jim Smith has told the Tallahassee Democrat that he hopes the university fires Bowden at the end of the season.

Although Joe Paterno is currently just one game above Bobby Bowden for the most career victories ever, the legendary Penn State coach does not want the NCAA to take any wins away from his Florida State rival for academic fraud.

“The NCAA is going to do what it’s going to do, but I would hope they would not take away 10 or 12 wins away from him,” Paterno told the Reading Eagle of Pennsylvania. Read the rest of this entry »
