Brian Urlacher will miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a dislocated right wrist which he suffered during the the first quarter of the Bears 21-15 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

“It’s always tough to have your leader go down,” linebacker Lance Briggs said. “He knows the defense better than anybody and he communicates everything to everyone else.”

Urlacher is one of the best linebackers in the league and he has been the leader of the Bears defense for the past 10 seasons. Their defense may fall apart without him.

While he was in Denver, Jay Cutler hated new Broncos coach Josh McDaniels. Now that he’s with the Chicago Bears, Cutler has nothing but high praise for the former New England Patriots offensive coordinator and his replacement Kyle Orton.

“He’s going to be a good coach,” Cutler said. “I think their offense is going to be fine. I think Kyle’s going to be fine. [McDaniels] is an offensive mind. Just the brief amount of time I was able to spend with him, he’s impressive. He knows a lot about offenses, he knows a lot about getting guys open and scoring points, as everyone’s seen when he was in New England, so I think they’re going to be fine.”

We hope Cutler nothing but failure in Denver. So far in his short NFL career Cutler has been nothing but a crybaby who has shown zero leadership skills. If he had any dignity he’d stil be a member of the Broncos.

Quarterback Jay Cutler has finally settled in as the new starter for the Chicago Bears. He’s already attacking his best wide receiver Devin Hester for not being a “go-get-it-guy” after Hester made a mistake which caused an interception in their preseason opener.

“Devin is more of a go-get-it guy; he is not really a back shoulder or jump-up-and-get-it [guy],” Cutler said. “You learn from it.

See Cutler, this is why everyone hates you. You try to walk around like your shit don’t stink when in reality you’re more overrated than the Michael Vick experience from back in the day. Shut your mouth and step your game up.

The Kansas City Chiefs continued to improve their team on Thuesday when they signed former Chicago Bears Pro Bowl safety Mike Brown.

Brown was a 2nd round NFL draft pick out of Nebraska in 2000 and he was quickly becoming a feared safety in league until multiple injuries kept him off the field.

The 31-year isn’t capable of playing every down anymore but he can still be very effective as a backup or a starter in blitz packages.

Jay Cutler has had his wish granted. The Denver Broncos have traded the whiny QB to the Chicago Bears for 2 first round draft picks, a 3rd round pick and Kyle Orton.

“We felt that [Cutler] is a very good person, a good leader,” Bears GM Jerry Angelo said. “He had some things that happened in Denver. We recognized those, but we treated them as just speed bumps, part of the growing process. He’s highly competitive, he’s highly emotional. That just comes with the territory.”

Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher was stunned his team gave up so much for one guy.

“I guess the Bears felt like we needed another quarterback, so they made a move,” Urlacher told the Chicago Tribune. “They gave up a lot. Cutler must be pretty good.”

“I guess we got better as a team,” Urlacher added. “You get a quarterback who is a Pro Bowl guy. But I will say this: I think Kyle Orton is a good quarterback. He’s a great teammate. I hope he does really well in Denver.”

Urlacher and the rest of his teammates will be pretty pissed when they find out Cutler isn’t much better than the QB they just gave away, Kyle Orton.

Orton was never the problem for the Bears. The problem was he didn’t have anybody to throw the ball too, andu nfortunately for baby Cutler he’ll be throwing to those same shitty receivers. It won’t be long before he quits on Chicago too.

The Bears were busy making moves on Thursday, not only did they trade for crybaby Jay Cutler, they also signed future hall of famer Orlando Pace.

“We really feel that it gives us a very good offensive line,” general manager Jerry Angelo said. “We’ve had some real good success with veteran players — John Tait, Fred Miller, Ruben Brown — and we felt that Orlando is the same. Obviously, he’s a potential Hall of Fame player. He expressed to us on his visit that he wants to continue to play, and he feels that his health is as good as it’s been in awhile.”

The Bears signed Pace to three-year deal worth $15 million.

Pace is already 33-years old but Chicago will be happy if he’s just half as good as he was during his prime with the Rams.

2009 has just begun, but the Chicago Bears have already named Kyle Orton their starting quarterback for next season.

”All players will have competition, everybody’s in the same group. But Kyle is our quarterback,” Bears coach Lovie Smith said. “He has done a lot of good things for us this year, but we all start from scratch and go from there.”

It’s way to early to know who will start the 2009 season under center for the Bears. Heck, as far as we know Brett Favre will be their starter for opening day. But Orton played real well when he was healthy this season and with a little more experience he has the potential to become a Pro Bowl QB.

The Chicago Bears still have a chance at reaching the playoffs after beating the Green Bay Packers in overtime on Monday Night Football.

With just 18 seconds left in the 4th quarter the Packers attempted a game winning 38-yard field but Bears defensive end Alex Brown was able to get a hand on the football and block the kick, sending the game into overtime.

“We got a great push from a lot of different people. I was just the one who got my hand on it,” Brown said. “We were saying on the sidelines that we have to block it. I got through pretty good but I didn’t really think that was going to happen. You just go as hard as you can and see if you can get a hand up and hopefully you can get it.”

Then in overtime Robbie Gould kicked a 38-yarder to win 20-17 over the Packers.

You know it’s going to be chilly, the ground is going to be hard. You’ve just got to go out there and do your job. There’s no excuses for missing,” Gould said.

If the Bears beat the Texans next Sunday and if the Vikings loss to the Giants, Chicago will win the NFC North but if both teams win the Vikings will win the division due to tiebreakers.
