With the first pick in the NBA draft the Cleveland Cavaliers shocked absolutely nobody by selecting Duke’s Kyrie Irving. While Irving probably won’t make them forget about LeBron James anytime soon, he is tremendously talented and worth building a team around.

In case you haven’t ever seen him play before or if you just want to enjoy some great memories, here’s a neat little clip with a bunch of his highlights.

Good luck, Cleveland!

This video tells the whole story. The Cleveland Cavaliers aren’t the reason LeBron James couldn’t win a championship, it was his shitiness in clutch situations.

Cavs’ Owner Hates LeBron James

Just a couple of hours after LeBron James officially announced his decision to leave Cleveland for the Miami Heat, his former owner Dan Gilbert blasted the Super Star.

”He quit (in the playoffs),” Gilbert said. ”Not just in Game 5, but in Games 2, 4 and 6. Watch the tape. The Boston series was unlike anything in the history of sports for a superstar.”

That may be true, but then Gilbert lost control and said the dumbest thing of his entire life.

“I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE,” Gilbert said in closing.

Sorry Cleveland fans, but there’s no way your team will win a title before LeBron. The Cavs have nothing without the King. Even if LeBron is overrated (which he is), Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh alone are good enough to carry the Heat to a Title game.

Cavaliers Hire Byron Scott As Head Coach

In order to make LeBron James happy and resign in Cleveland, the Cavaliers have hired former New Orleans coach Byron Scott.

“This is a great job and an impressive organization and I am very happy to be a part of it,” Scott said in a statement released by the Cavs. “Everything about it just felt like a really good fit for both me and the team. I am anxious to get going and to build on the success the Cavaliers have experienced in recent years.”

Byron Scott is a good coach, but is he good enough to convince LeBron to come back? I doubt it! And while Scott may think this is a great job, it’s actually on of the worst coaching gigs in the league if The King doesn’t return.

Tom Izzo Is Staying A Spartan

Tom Izzo has decided to continue being the head coach of the Michigan State Spartans and no longer flirt with the idea of going to the NBA and becoming the coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“Instead of coaching them in the NBA, I’m going to coach them in the NCAA,” Izzo said “I knew at the beginning that whatever decision I made would be a decision for life.

“I am going to be a lifer. This is what I’m going to be, and I’m damn proud of it.”

Don’t be fooled, Izzo wanted to go to the NBA and coach LeBron James, but the King refused to talk to Izzo and make a commitment to stay with the Cavs.

Tom Izzo will become a coach in the NBA someday. Bank on it.

Cleveland Cavaliers Offer Coaching Job To Tom Izzo

The Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly offered their head coaching to to Michigan State’s Tom Izzo to replace coach Mike Brown who they just fired a few weeks ago.

Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis immediately denied the report once it became public.

“There is not a contract offer on the table,” Hollis said in a telephone interview with the AP. “Last week, there was talk that Chicago and New Jersey were interested. If I was anywhere but at Michigan State, I would be interested in Tom, too, because he’s the best coach in college basketball.”

Tom Izzo would be a fool to leave Michigan State unless LeBron James is officially returning to the team. I would be downright shocked if he went to the NBA if he wasn’t guaranteed to have a chance at coaching one of the top 5 players in the league.

LeBron James Says Cleveland Has The Edge

LeBron James sat down with Larry King to discuss the beginning of his free-agency frenzy. As expected LeBron provided little information to the Suspender King, but when asked if Cleveland currently has the edge to retain his services this is what he had to say.

“Absolutely. Because, you know, this city, these fans, I mean, have given me a lot in these seven years. And, you know, for me, it’s comfortable. So I’ve got a lot of memories here. And — and so it does have an edge,” James said.

LeBron may try to act like Cleveland has the edge, but I’m not buying it. From hearing the interview it sounds like there’s a sweet spot in his heart for the Clippers.

“They’ve got some really good players. Some really nice, solid pieces that, if they add a free agent here or a free agent there, it could be a really good team,” James said. “It’s a great city. But at the same time, it’s not always about the city. It’s about winning. If you put me and Bosh on the same team, if you put me and Dwyane Wade on the same team, a lot of teams would be much better. You know, the Cavs would be much better.”

LeBron and Dwyane on the same team sure sounds good, but in reality it would never work. Sure, they’d have a great regular season, but at the end of the day LeBron James is still a choke artist and he’d find a way for them to lost in the playoffs.

Cleveland Cavaliers Fire Mike Brown

The Cleveland Cavaliers granted LeBron James’ wish and fired head coach Mike Brown on Monday. It has been known for some time now that LeBron was not happy with his coach and in order for Cleveland to have a chance at retaining the superstar they needed to make this move, regardless if Brown is a good coach or not.

“After a long and deep analysis of all of the factors that led to the disappointing early ends to our playoff runs over the past two seasons, we concluded that it was time for the Cavaliers to move in a different direction,” Cavs owner Dan Gilbert said. “The expectations of this organization are very high and, although change always carries an element of risk, there are times when that risk must be taken in an attempt to break through to new, higher levels of accomplishment.

As soon as the firing was announced some people immediately expressed concerns, including Point Guard Mo Williams.

“My question is: Who’s out there that’s better? He’s not a bad coach.” Williams said. “To fire him, that’s making a big statement. After him, you have to get a Hall of Fame coach.”

The reasoning behind this firing is short and sweet. LeBron Gets what LeBron Wants.

Boston Celtics Eliminate LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers

Sorry LeBron James’ Nut Huggers, but maybe he isn’t the King everyone made him out to be after all. In the playoffs he fails to step up his game and he chokes every single year. With the series on the line on Thursday night in Boston, LeBron once again failed to rally his teammates which resulted in another disappointing season for Cleveland.

“I just told him (LeBron James), ‘Keep your head up, man. I’ve been there,” Kevin Garnett said. “‘You have a very, very, very bright future. Continue to work and make decisions based on you and your family.”

Now that LeBron James’ and the Cavs have been eliminated, nobody even cares about the playoffs anymore. Instead they’re all trying to figure out who he’ll play for next season. While I don’t know exactly where LeBron will land, I can tell you one team he definitely won’t be playing for next year. And that’s the Cleveland Cavaliers.
