Even though quarterback Carson Palmer lives in Ohio and plays for the Cincinnati Bengals, he won’t hesitate to tell you how much he hates the state of Ohio.
“I cannot stand the Buckeyes and having to live in Ohio and hear those people talk about their team, it drives me absolutely nuts,” Palmer said. Read the rest of this entry »
Former Nebraska standout Jason Peter really hates Lou Holtz.
“I still wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to spit in Lou Holtz’s (bleeping) face … Each Saturday in the fall when Holtz makes his jovial, dumb … remarks on ESPN, I hope he knows that there’s at least one family on the other side of the screen, the Peter family, that knows what a — – — he really is,” Peter said. USC’s offensive line coach Pat Ruel has a man-crush on head coach Pete Carroll.
“Pete’s like a beautiful woman,” Ruel said after taking the job. “The closer you get, you better look out. He is very charismatic. He can smile and make you feel like a million dollars.”

Notre Dame has agreed to a new television contract with NBC that runs through the 2015 season. The new contract will include 7 home games per season and an 8th game played at a neutral stadium.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be continuing our landmark agreement with Notre Dame, the most storied brand in college sports,” said Dick Ebersol, Chairman of NBC Sports and Olympics. “This new deal, which will bring us to 25 years as partners, is great tribute to the wonderful relationship that (President, NBC Sports) Ken Schanzer has built with the entire Notre Dame community”
“It’s a perfect marriage, Ebersol said.”
The perfect marriage?? Well, I suppose — A shitty network and a shittier team.
Penn State’s 81-year-old football coach Joe Paterno was rushed to Mount Nittany Medical Center by ambulance after he was feeling nauseated. At the hospital JoePa learned he was suffering from apparent dehydration.
“It’s no big deal,” JoePa’s son Jay Paterno said. “If it’s dehydration, he’s probably all talked out.”
Somebody needs to force Joe Paterno to retire, he has nothing left to prove in the sport and at 81 years old his body can’t handle the stress of coaching anymore. This time he was lucky he was just suffering from dehydration but next time it could be something much worse for the old man.
