Dallas Braden shares the top ten thoughts that went through his mind while he threw his perfect game.
Definitely not the greatest top ten list David Letterman has put together, but it’s probably not the worst either. Actually, I know it’s not those worst. Every time Britney Spears does the top 10 it’s a million times worse.
Oakland A’s pitcher Dallas Braden has just became a part of MLB history forever after he pitched the 19th perfect game ever and led his team to a 4-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.
“Pretty cool,” Braden said. “I don’t know what to think about it just yet. There’s definitely a select group. I’d like to have a career more than today.”
A ton of publicity has been made about Braden’s feud with A-Rod, but now he’ll finally start to get some recognition for his play on the mound.
However, it’s worth mentioning the first thing the mainstream media did once the perfect game became finalized was call A-Rod and get his thoughts on the historic moment. Here’s what he had to say:
“I’ve learned in my career that it’s always better to be remembered for some of the good things you do on the field, and good for him,” Rodriguez said before facing Boston. “He threw a perfect game. And, even better, he beat the Rays.”
