They say you learn something new every single day. If that’s true, then Sunday we learned that God is a huge Broncos fan. The Broncos were down 6-7 on their own 14 yard line with just 28 seconds left in the game when Orton throws a pass intended for Brandon Marshall. Bengals cornerback Leon Hall ends up tipping the ball, it lands in the hands of Broncos receiver Brandon Stokley and he takes it 87 yards to the house!

The Denver Broncos have suspended star wide receiver Brandon Marshall for the remainder of the preseason after he showed up to practice acting like a baby.
“We tried to handle this situation with Brandon as privately and professionally as we could throughout the entire process with he and his agent, Kennard McGuire,” McDaniels said at a news conference. Read the rest of this entry »
While he was in Denver, Jay Cutler hated new Broncos coach Josh McDaniels. Now that he’s with the Chicago Bears, Cutler has nothing but high praise for the former New England Patriots offensive coordinator and his replacement Kyle Orton.
Broncos coach Josh McDaniels didn’t waste too much time naming a starting quarterback for the upcoming NFL season. On Saturday the first year head coach announced Kyle Orton has won the starting job over Chris Simms.
“There’s a lot of difficult aspects about what we ask our quarterback to do in our offense and Kyle has really grasped some of them more quickly than Chris did,” McDaniels explained. “I just think it puts them in a little bit of a pressure situation where now one of them has it and has to keep it and the other one has to get it. They’re still going to compete with each other and I expect the competition to be the same that it’s been. They both have great attitudes and know that nothing’s determined in June.”
Orton is a highly underrated quarterback and I believe he’s actually better than Jay Cutler. His arm certainly isn’t stronger, but he’s more accurate with his throws and he’s a great leader who earns the respect of his teammates.
Jay Cutler has had his wish granted. The Denver Broncos have traded the whiny QB to the Chicago Bears for 2 first round draft picks, a 3rd round pick and Kyle Orton.
“We felt that [Cutler] is a very good person, a good leader,” Bears GM Jerry Angelo said. Read the rest of this entry »

Receiver Jabar Gaffney has played under Josh McDaniels and Bill Belichick in New England. When Josh McDaniels became the head coach of the Broncos he brought Gaffney with him to Denver. When asked for his thoughts on the Jay Cutler situation, Gaffney said McDaniels is handling the situation just like Belichick would.
