Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson has told ESPN The Magazine that he has no plans to sit out the 2008 NFL season.

“Am I coming back? Of course I am,” Johnson said. “I told my coaches I’m going to California to act, but the truth is I may come back to the Bengals as early as June. I may be crazy but I’m not stupid.”

Actually Chad, your very stupid. Your entire team hates you and there’s no way the Bengals will trade you, so enjoy being miserable this season. Here’s some advice — shut your mouth, don’t attempt any lame touchdown celebrations and don’t take any swings at your head coach.

Roy Williams Compares Himself to Jesus

Lately Dallas Cowboys safety Roy Williams has been criticized for his pass coverage and now he will be criticized for comparing himself to Jesus Christ.

“Ever since I’ve rededicated my life to Christ I’ve caught way more persecution now,” Roy Williams said. “But it’s a beautiful thing because I know it’s a breakthrough coming for me. I welcome it. What makes me any better than Christ? He was persecuted and I’ve been persecuted. My teammates know where my heart is. They know where my mind is at.”

In other news, the Dallas Cowboys have named Williams their designated 3rd down waterboy. Hopefully thats not the big “breakthrough” he was talking about.

I’ve always thought Terrell Owens and Jeff Garcia were gay lovers. I guess we learn something new every day.

Also today we have learned the Dallas Cowboys have rewarded Owens with a new 4-year contract worth $34 million.

In a surprise move, the Denver Broncos have released their starting running back Travis Henry after just 1 season with the team.

“Although Travis has the ability to be one of the top running backs in the NFL, we have to make decisions that are in the best interests of our organization and its goal of winning a Super Bowl,” Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said in a statement. “We did not feel his commitment to the Broncos was enough to warrant a spot on this football team.”

Lock up your daughters, Travis Henry is on the loose. He already has 9 kids with 9 different women (it may be more now, I can’t keep track) and now with all his free time expect that number to double in about 9 months.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young has revealed that he almost retired after his stressful rookie season.

“I really thought long and hard about it,” Young told NFL.com “There was so much going on with my family. It was crazy being an NFL quarterback. It wasn’t fun anymore. All of the fun was out of it. All of the excitement was gone. All I was doing was worrying about things. My teammates helped lift me out of it. I prayed really hard. And I began to focus on God’s calling for me. Play football. Be a role model.”

To be a successful quarterback and leader in the National Football League you have to be able to handle a lot of pressure. It sounds like Vince Young has trouble with that.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens has said he was offered to participate in the ABC hit show Dancing With The Stars but declined.

“They asked me to do that last year and I graciously declined,” Owens said. “I don’t need to get on national TV to show people I can dance. I do that 16, 17 weeks out of the year. I’ve been doing it all my career.”

Owens turned down an opportunity to be on TV!? When did hell freeze over?

Joey Porter Hates The Patriots

Former Steelers and current Dolpins linebacker Joey Porter thinks the New England Patriots dynasty should have an Asterisk.

“They cheated. There should be an asterisk,” Porter said. “They cheated and they got caught. Why, if you have nothing to hide, would you destroy [the evidence]? That’s how I’ve looked at it from the beginning. Why destroy something that doesn’t have to be destroyed? Let everyone know what was on the tapes. Why would you destroy them so fast?”

I’m just surprised Porter had the time to talk to the media, he’s usually busy locking lips with Bill Cowher.

20 Biggest American Football Stadiums

Biggest Football Stadiums in the world

The experience of watching a football game live in a stadium full of fans is completely different from the experience of watching the game on television. Part of the difference is, of course, the fact that you’re watching the game take place in 3D and the sight isn’t altered by the whims of a cameraman. However, the real reason that people love to watch football games at stadiums is because the energy of the crowd completely changes the feeling of watching the game. Crowds of people with their cheering and booing, their excitement and anger, their painted faces and hands filled with stadium food are crowds of people that add another dimension to the game.

If you really want to get the full effect of watching a football game in the midst of a crowd then you should make it a point to visit one of the these theaters of footballing dreams, some of which are among the largest stadiums in the world. It is here where the game will really come to life! Read the rest of this entry »

The 5 Largest (American) Football Stadiums outside of America

Football is a very American game. (In fact, say the word almost anywhere else and people will assume that you’re talking about soccer.) But football has made its way to other places in the past and that’s resulted in some great stadiums outside of the United States. The following are all American stadiums that have been used by American teams playing football in other countries. The majority of them were stadiums associated with NFL Europa, an American football league in Europe which ended in 2007.

5. Rogers Centre, Toronto

Rogers Centre, Toronto

Rogers Centre [Capacity 50,000] This stadium located in Toronto is home to the International Bowl, the only post-season bowl game that is played outside of the United States. Although it’s partially a Canadian football stadium (home to the Toronto Argonauts), it is also a part-time stadium to the United States’ Buffalo Bills. Read the rest of this entry »

Better QB: Rex Grossman or Maria Sharapova?

Watch as the always sexy Maria Sharapova prepares for a match by tossing around the pigskin.

I’ll have to take Sharapova based on potential alone, we already know Grossman is horrible.
