Two-time Olympic bronze medalist Anna Bessonova proves that she’s better at modeling than gymnastic in her recent photos for XXL Magazine. Bessonova is a 24-year old Ukrainian hottie who specializes in rhythmic gymnastics.

If she was smart she would ditch the whole gymnastics thing and move here to the United States. She could make a lot more money posing nude in American magazines than she’ll ever make at the Olympics.

Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson finally got her gold medal after giving the performance of her lifetime on the balance beam.

“I finished off the Olympic Games with, to me, the most perfect ending ever,” Johnson said. “To finally get the gold medal … on my very last routine meant the world to me.”

Before the Olympics the 16-year old Des Moines, Iowa was considered the best gymnast in the world and was favored to win multiple golds at the olympic games. Her trip to Beijing would have been a huge disappointment without winning a single gold.

American Nastia Liukin has won the all-around gold in women’s gymnastics with the score 63.325 points just six-tenths ahead of silver medalist and teammate Shawn Johnson.

“It’s not possible to describe how proud I am,” Valeri Liukin said afterward. “It’s just an amazing feeling.”

China’s Yang Yilin won the bronze medal with a total of 62.65 points.

Congratulations to all three of these ladies.

China has upset the Americans to win the gold in women’s gymnastics with a score of 188.9 points. The Americans took the silver with 186.525 points and Romania earned the bronze with 181.525 points.

The United States were huge favorites to win this event but they made some dumb mistakes which ended up costing them the gold.

Even without the Hamm brothers the American men’s gymnastics team was still able to win the bronze medal with 275.850 points. China won the Gold medal with 278.875 points.

“They told me, ‘We succeeded. We are the world champions.’ I told them we reached our target,” China coach Huang Yubin said. “Other teams were good, but we were better. We performed perfect today. Everyone was excellent.”

If Paul and Morgan Hamm were 100% healthy and participating the team would have challenged China for gold but without them the Americans did a great job and exceeded everyone’s expectations by winning the bronze.

Just like his brother, Morgan Hamm has been forced to withdraw from the 2008 Olympics due to an injury.

“This has been an extremely hard decision to make,” Hamm said. “I’ve given everything I had to compete in these Olympic Games.” “It’s tough. It’s the end of my career and it’s not the way to end it.”

Morgan’s brother Paul was forced to withdrawl form the Olympics after suffering persistent pain from the right hand he broke 2 months ago and a strained left rotator cuff.

With both Hamm brothers out of the Olympics the US gymnastics team could easily get embarrassed.
