Barbora Spotakova of the Czech Republic has set a new world record with her 72.28 meters (237 feet 2 inches) Javelin throw. Watch it Below:
Before this no women has ever thrown the javelin further than 72 meters, after the event Barbora said, “I think maybe 75m is possible for a women’s throw”.
During the Utah state track championships an unlucky photographer had a javelin pierce through his leg but even though he was in pain, he still managed to take this picture.
Luckily for the photographer the javelin just went through the skin and didn’t hit any blood vessels, nerves, ligaments or tendons.
Hopefully next time this guy covers a track meet he’ll be smart enough to pay attention and stay out of the danger zones.
