Oakland Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin thinks wide receiver Javon Walker is overpaid and overhyped.
“There’s a couple of balls there that we would have liked him to come up with,” Kiffin said during the opening statement of his teleconference Saturday. Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker remains hospitalized after he was beat-up, robbed and left unconscious on a Las Vegas street after a long night of partying.
“We don’t believe this is a random act,” Police Lt. Clinton Nichols told the San Francisco Chronicle. “They knew who he was and [Walker] presented a target. We did get a surveillance [video] of a vehicle and suspects that may have been involved. Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker was found unconscious in Las Vegas on Monday after an apparent robbery.
A Police spokesman has said Walker was taken to a hospital with “significant injuries” but remained in fair condition at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
No further information is known at this time but there has been speculation that Walker was found with a orbital fracture.
