Former Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillispie was arrested and charged with DUI after he refused sobriety tests and his breath smelled like alcohol during an early morning traffic stop.

“Billy had a strong fruity smell coming from his person [possibly wine] and had red, glassy eyes and slow, slurred speech,” Police Officer Michael Corley wrote in his report. Read the rest of this entry »

John Calipari has announced he’ll be leaving Memphis and accepting a job as the new Kentucky head basketball coach.

Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie was asked a question about Jodie Meeks at halftime of the Kentucky – Ole Miss game. When he didn’t have an answer for the question he basically told the sideline reporter Jeannine Edwards that she’s a bad reporter with dumb questions.
