Former Pro Bowl quarterback Kordell Stewart was Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey’s guest at a recent practice and he gave his thoughts on first round draft pick, QB Matt Ryan.
“From what I see, it looks like he (Matt Ryan) knows what he’s doing,” Stewart said. “He looks poised. He looks like he understands what he needs to do, and he’s not putting himself in trouble. That’s what Mike wants, a mistake-free type offense.”
Matt Ryan better be careful. It sounds like Kordell Stewart wants to make love to him. (We may be exaggerating just a tad)
New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress has said in his new book that he has no idea if his former Pittsburgh Steelers teammate Kordell Stewart was gay.
“People were talking about [Kordell] being gay,” Burress writes. “The players heard that, but we never talked about it. I don’t know if Kordell is gay or not. It was none of our business. If ever we would have talked about it, it would have made everybody uncomfortable. If some player was gay, I don’t think he could come out while he was still playing. It would be real hard. It would mess a team up mentally and it wouldn’t be good for that person.”
For the record, I’m pretty sure he was gay.
