The Los Angeles Clippers won the NBA draft lottery on Monday night giving them the first chance to draft Oklahoma’s star forward Blake Griffin in the June 25th NBA draft.

“I’m going to come in and learn as much as I can on the fly and hopefully help the team as much as I can,” Griffin said.

The Clippers went into the lottery with just a 17.7 percent chance of winning the first overall pick. The Sacramento Kings had the best odds at winning the lottery but they will be forced to settle for the 4th pick.

The Memphis Grizzlies will pick 2nd while the Oklahoma City Thunder will select 3rd overall.

Stephen Curry has announced his decision to skip his senior season at Davidson college and enter the NBA draft.

“I think I’m mentally and physically ready to make that jump,” said Curry. “This is a dream of mine since I was a little kid.”

Curry believes he’ll be selected between the seventh and 20th overall picks in the draft.

The 6-foot-3 point guard averaged 28.6 points this season and he had 15 games where he scored 30 or more points but his size will be a major concern for NBA teams.

“If you look at my body compared to some point guards and [shooting] guards, I have a lot of work to do,” Curry said. “But if you saw me my freshman year, people were saying, ‘Who’s this kid in sixth grade walking around in college?’ ”

Curry will be a good player for many years to come, but he’ll never become a superstar.

Player of the year Blake Griffin has decided to give up his final two years of eligibility with the Oklahoma Sooners and enter the NBA draft.

“I felt in my mind from the time that I actually thought about it that this would be the right decision,” Griffin said. “I remember talking to Coach Capel last year after I made my decision of coming back and he said I had the chance to be in this position and I should take it. This has been a dream for me. It has been a dream for a lot of guys. I was really comfortable with the decision this time around.”

Griffin realizes he will likely be the number 1 pick in the draft and it’s time for him to leave college in order to get the most money possible.
