New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress will not attend practice until he gets a new contract.
“Me and my agent are trying to get a deal done so I can stay a New York Giant for a long time,” Burress said. “I, personally, don’t like the way they’re going and I am not happy about it. I am choosing not to participate. I’m not saying I’m being mistreated, [but] Everybody wants to be treated fairly.”
The Giants can win games without Jeremy Shockey but they can’t afford to lose Burress. If they’re smart he’ll get a new deal soon.
Future Hall of Famer Michael Strahan has told FoxSports.com that he has decided to retire from the National Football League.
“It was important that my teammates knew which way I was going before they got on the field to start the work to defend our title,” the New York Giants defensive end said “It’s time. I’m done. It’s a tough decision but I wanted to be fair to the Giants and fair to my teammates.”
Strahan is going out on top and he will be a unanimous first-ballot Hall Of Famer.
