American gymnast and reigning gold medalist Paul Hamm will has withdrawn from the 2008 Olympic games after straining his left rotator cuff and also due to the pain he has been dealing with after breaking his right hand 2 months ago.

Time Magazine put together a huge list of the top 100 Olympic Athletes you definitely don’t want to miss this year in Beijing.
Rounding out the top 5 is Yao Ming, Chinese hurdler Liu Xiang, the human fish Michael Phelps, 41-year old swimmer Dara Torres and at number 1 is Cleveland’s own LeBron James.
Swimmer Jessica Hardy will most likely be banned from the Beijing Olympics after testing positive for a banned substance.
“I’m very, very concerned about the confusion of her test coming up positive-negative-positive,” Hardy’s Agent, Evan Morgenstein said. “She’s the one person I would never believe would do anything — anything — to cheat. Ever.”
