After getting knocked out by Brock Lesnar at UFC 91 on November 15th, 45-year old Randy Couture already wants a rematch. If that can’t happen, he’d happily face Fedor Emelianenko.
“A rematch would be fun,” Couture told Inside MMA.
Brock Lesnar is the new UFC heavyweight champion after he knocked out three-time title holder Randy Couture on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
During the announcment of the November 15th fight against Randy Couture vs. Brock Lesnar the media kept asking both fighters about the man many regard as the best heavyweight in all of Mixed Martial Arts, Fedor Emelianenko.
After a few questions Lesner finally snapped and expressed his true feelings for Fedor.
MMAJunkie.com broke the news this holiday weekend that Randy Couture may be returning to the UFC, possibly as soon as November. Couture hasn’t fought since August 2007, when he beat Gabriel Gonzaga via a third round TKO.
According to reports, Couture and the UFC will toss out his old contract and set up a new three fight deal, no doubt with a significant raise over his last contract as well as other perks and benefits. Read the rest of this entry »
