Smashing a racket = rough sex?

What is it with these Russians? Since when did they become so ahem temperamental? Or are they just plain old crazy?

In case it might have slipped your mind but Wimbledon starts today. And the women of the WTA are revealing their new looks for the most popular and prestigious of Grand Slams.
Today the Wimbledon starts. And truth be told I have been neglecting my tennis.
Sure there are plenty of quality players nowadays with the likes of Federer, Nadal and company, but I miss the good old days of Sampras who could not serve anything but an ace, Ivanisevic slamming his racket any given number of times and Agassi having a blazing row with the umpire. Ah those were the days.
So as a warm up before Wimbledon I present you my choice for the top 10 most memorable tennis players of all time. Some of them were great, some not so much, but all them brought a kind of chutzpah to the game. And say what you will – none of them were ever boring.
Pete Sampras
I used to love to watch Sampras play. The man was machine. 14 Grand slam titles. 6 years in the row as number 1 on the ATP list. Won Wimbledon 7 times and U.S. Open 5 times. Not to mention there was not a ball he could not return.

The tennis divas came in droves to the Richard Branson’s pre-Wimbledon party. And after all this talk about Ana Ivanovic and Maria Sharapova it is only fair to mention another tennis player that was looking really well.
Slovakia’s own Daniela Hantuchova looked the picture of health and hotness

When I read this, I thought you had to admire the man’s gall. But then on the other hand I thought to myself he is obviously out of his league.
This week at the pre-Wimbledon party hosted by Richard Branson, it seems one Johnny Borrell, the singer of Razorlight was desperate to meet Maria Sharapova. Allegedly he is a big fan. Whether or not it is for her performances on the tennis court or her stunning good looks, it is difficult to tell (although I’m thinking the latter, call me a cynic go right ahead).

I know boys love a lot of Ana Ivanovic’s goodness so I am more then happy to oblige.
The ATP’s number 1 is gearing up for Wimbledon next week and cannot wait to be back in London.
But looking at her now one would never guess she suffered from a lack of confidence back in the day she was just starting out.

Me thinks even if he tried Tim Henman could have not kicked off his new gig as a commentator for BBC more superbly.

It seems that betting scandals are not solely reserved for Italian football anymore.
In November last year 4 Italian tennis players (Giorgio Galimberti, Potito Starace, Daniele Bracciali and Federico Luzzi) have been involved in a scandal – they have made bets on tennis matches.
