Apparently the Cincinnati Bengals haven’t learned from their past mistakes dealing with troubled athletes. They have a talented team and are easily a playoff contender with there current roster, but on Tuesday afternoon the team decided to sign the biggest cancer in NFL history: Terrell Owens.
“He and Chad are going to do some great things with Carson,” said Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for both receivers. “Carson Palmer had a lot to do with this deal coming together.”
There’s no way this is going to improve the Bengals. They only time T.O. has been anything but a cancer was during his first season with the Eagles and we all know how that turned out in the second season. He may be on his best behavior for the first few weeks, but eventually this cancer is bound to spread.
Nobody in the NFL seems to want Terrell Owens on their team, but there is one potential team that has a slight interest and that’s the Cincinnati Bengals. Surprisingly, quarterback Carson Palmer has told the team to sign T.O. because he’s confident he could get along with both Owens and Ochocinco at the same time.
“Carson was really impressed with a lot of the things that Terrell was doing,” Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said. “Carson’s comments to me — I guess the word is they resonate well.”
If Carson Palmer was smart, he would be completely against signing Terrell Owens. There’s no way in hell he can manage the big personalities of both T.O. and Ochocinco. I don’t care if they’re friends or not, It’s not going to work. Don’t let last year fool you, T.O. is still a cancer to any locker room in the NFL.
Two Terrell Owens posts in one day, and it’s only July! Wow. But for some reason I don’t think anyone will complain about this post. This video shows the diva wide receiver getting dunked on by some nobody at the Rucker Park in Harlem.
Sure, basketball is T.O’s sport and he never claimed to be good at it. Still he should be ashamed of himself. Not for getting dunked on, but for just being who he is.
For some reason Terrell Owens doesn’t understand why he’s perceived as a troublemaker. He just doesn’t understand what he has ever done to make everyone hate him. Yesterday he complained about his public perception.
“Some of the golden boys that they kind of highlight throughout the course of the season, those are the guys that are getting in trouble,” Owens said. “Somehow I get lumped into those topics, which blows my mind.
“I’ve never been in any trouble. I know right from wrong. I try to make the right choices and judgments when I’m out in the public.”
Has T.O. forgot all about calling his quarterbacks gay, and putting all of them blame on them for everything that has ever gone wrong? Yeah, you’re right Terrell. You’re not a troublemaker at all. You’re just a horrible person.
For the life of me I can’t figure out why any quarterback any established quarterback in the National Football League would want to play with Terrell Owens, especially somebody who has already dealt with his cancer. But multiple sources on Tuesday reported that new Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb is urging team officials to sign his former Eagles teammate.
Now can anyone explain to me why McNabb would want to play with a guy who once did everything he possible could to destroy his reputation? I understand that the ‘Skins could use an elite receiver like Owens, but keep in mind that T.O. is not nearly as good as he was a few years ago when he played in Philly. It’s also important to realize that a Leopard can’t change it’s spots. Owens has not matured and will still be a locker room cancer regardless of where he goes.
Wide receiver Terrell Owens feels like he’s being provoked by the media after reporters asked him some tough questions following the Bills 27-7 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
“It really just shows you the angle that the media has taken all these years,” Owens said during the interview. “Over the years I’ve always kind of spoken openly about whatever is being asked with my answers, so the last four or five years I’ve kind of noticed that and tried taking some steps to prevent some of those things from happening. Diva receiver Terrell Owens is attacking former safety and current NBC analyst Rodney Harrison for calling him a clown during NBC’s “Football Night in America.”
While Tony Romo was busy throwing interceptions on Sunday night against the New York Jets, his former receiver Terrell Owens was busy dissing him on twitter.
The Dallas Cowboys may have 99 problems, but Terrell Owens a bitch ain’t one.
Here at PopCrunch we’ve always been huge fans of hating on popular athletes. These days there are so many stupid athletes we have a hard time keeping track of them all. That’s why we’ve decided to put together a list of our Top 10 Most Hated Athletes of 2009.
10: Terrell Owens
Why We Hate Him: He’s washed up and drops more balls than he catches these days, but he still won’t shut up! The only reason he’s not higher on our list is because he tried to kill himself a few years ago, so we’re guessing he hates himself just as much as we hate him. Read the rest of this entry »
Terrell Owens thinks it would be ridiculous if NFL commissioner Roger Goodell suspends Vick for any amount of time after he served a 23-month prison sentence for killing dogs.
“A lot of the guys around the league need to speak up,” Owens said. “I think the players’ union needs to step in because the guy’s already suffered so much, and to add a four-game suspension onto a two-year prison sentence, I mean, that’s ridiculous.”
Owens was perturbed when he heard Vick will likely be suspended for four games before he is allowed to play in a regular season NFL game.
“The Michael Vick situation, I think, is unfortunate,” Owens said. “I think the way the commissioner is handling it is unfair to Michael Vick. I think he’s done the time for what he’s done. I don’t think it’s really fair for him to be suspended four more games. It’s almost like kicking a dead horse in the ground.”
Here we go again! By week 5 Owens will be telling everyone that Trent Edwards is gay and the Bills would be better off with Vick under center.
