Although Tony Romo was trying to impersonate a blind quarterback during the debut of the brand new Cowboys stadium on Sunday, Owner Jerry Jones still backs him 100%.

You’d like for him not to have a day like that,” Jones said. “But when everybody is pointing fingers, when it didn’t go good, then you want someone who can walk into that huddle in the next snap at practice, the next snap in the ballgame and walk out there and cut and shoot and play like they just won the Super Bowl. That’s a great quarterback.”

Meanwhile, former Cowboys legend Tony Dorsett hates Romo with a passion.

“I don’t know why on God’s Earth Tony Romo has been anointed a superstar in the National Football League,” Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett told Fox Sports Radio. “Tony is very young in his career. Not to say you can’t be young in your career and be a superstar because you’ve got one up there in Minnesota in Adrian Peterson.

“But the thing is this: You have a guy who hasn’t done much, and quarterbacks in the NFL, most of them go through this growing curve. He hasn’t gone through that growing curve, but he was anointed this great player all of a sudden. Now he’s having to live up to that. And obviously Tony has some deficiencies.”

Romo isn’t a football star, he’s a celebrity quarterback. He isn’t known for his talent on the field, he’s known for dating Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson. As a quarterback the dude downright stinks.

Emmitt Smith will do just about anything for attention these day. Even if that means attacking the head coach and starting quarterback of his former team, the Dallas Cowboys.

“I never saw [Romo] go snatch somebody up, and say, ‘Hey, we can’t win like this. We can’t have guys jumping offsides. I can’t have [a defender] coming at me unabated. Who is making the mistakes up front? Why aren’t you picking this guy up? This is not going down this way. If you can’t get your job done, get off the football field,’ ” Smith said.

Smith also said he wishes Wade Phillips would make enemies,not friends, in the locker room.

“[Belichick and Coughlin] don’t come in trying to make friends,” Smith told Sirius radio. “Matter of fact, they created a bunch of enemies and then made the enemies get on their terms, and then they moved forward. And that’s one thing I believe the Dallas Cowboys can use.”

As much as we’d like to disagree, everything he said is 100% true.

Tony Romo has reportedly dumped Jessica Simpson just one day before her 29th birthday.

“She is heartbroken,” a source told People.com. “She loves Tony. But it’s been difficult lately. He’s busy with his career and she’s getting ready to shoot her show (The Price of Beauty). They decided to part ways.”

Although his timing was very bad this is the best thing that could have happened to Romo’s football career. Simpson was an obvious distraction for him on game days and she took time away from his daily preparations.

And lets face it, she was getting too fat for comfort.

Hall of Fame Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman is letting his opinions on Tony Romo be known.

“I think maybe things happened so quickly for Tony in terms of obscurity to all of a sudden national spotlight that he hasn’t fully grasped what being the Cowboys quarterback is all about,” Aikman said on Michael Irvin’s radio show. “And you don’t go to Cabo the week before a playoff game. You just don’t do it.

Although I prefer the T.O. bashing over the Romo bashing, he does need to stop trying to be a celebrity quarterback. I don’t blame him for wanting to bang hot celebrity babes like Jessica Simpson but eventually he’ll need to decide whats more important — being a celebrity or winning football games.

Tony Romo will return to the Dallas Cowboys’ starting line for the first time since breaking his pinkie finger in week 6.

Dallas fans are hoping Romo can save their season and lead them to the playoffs.

“We will find out on Sunday,” Romo said.

“A lot of different people may have gotten to a point where they feel we might not have a chance to do what we hoped to do at the beginning of the year. … I think that is something that can bring a team together.”

Don’t expect Romo to magically cure all of their problems and lead this team to the playoffs. Remember they were struggling before he ever got injured in the first place.

Tony Romo’s broken pinkie will sideline him for atleast one more game, leaving Brad Johnson under center when the Dallas Cowboys take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“I’ll say it will be Brad [Johnson],” Romo said.

“Brad is going to go this week, unless something different happens that we don’t foresee. It will be very difficult to change.”

Romo is currently wearing a brace on his finger and only throwing cautiously in practice.

“It took a long time to come up what the trainers did [a brace for the finger] and it was awesome what they did,” Romo said “But we will go back to the drawing board and see what we can come up with something — and it is what it is and right now. We’re going to rally around Brad and hopefully we can get two wins out of this and go into the bye and get everyone healthy and go on from there.”

Last week the Rams destroyed the Cowboys proving just how valuable Romo is to the team. He better hurry up and get healthy otherwise Dallas may find themselves out of the playoffs.
