The Boston Celtics won their franchise record 19th game straight by beating the Philadelphia 76ers 110-91 Tuesday night.

The Celtics were happy to get the record but they would much rather win a championship.

“Unless you win it all, it’s pretty much steam in the air: You see it, and then it evaporates,” Kevin Garnett said.

Coach Doc Rivers echoed Garnett’s thoughts.

“I know it’s great and all that stuff, but we didn’t get our hands in and say ‘Hip! Hip! Hooray!” Rivers said. “No one even mentioned it. We just want to keep playing, and keep winning. And we want to try to keep getting better.”

19 straight is a great accomplishment but unfortunately if they don’t win the championship all will be forgotten.
