Charles Barkley was sentenced to 5 days in jail on Monday after pleading guilty on DUI charges in Scottsdale, Arizona.

“I think that a DUI is unacceptable,” Barkley said during his apology which aired on TNT. “That can’t happen and I’ve got to challenge other people, not just celebrities or jocks. You have to really think before getting behind the wheel after you’ve been drinking.”

Barkley must also enter an alcohol awareness program; pay over $2,000 in fines and he’ll be forced to install an ignition interlock device on his vehicles.

He’ll begin serving his jail sentence on March 21st.
