Denver Broncos Prepared for Brandon Marshall Suspension
The Denver Broncos are beginning to prepare for the potential suspension of wide receiver Brandon Marshall after he has had repeated run-ins with the law.
“You think about it, because it could happen, especially now with whatever the commissioner has been doing,” Broncos wide receiver Brandon Stokley said. … “He’s our No. 1 guy, the guy we look to to make the big plays for us, so it changes dramatically,” Stokley said. “But we’ve got other guys that can step in and fill that void.”
“It would be safe to say we’d be without our best player in the group. Everyone is talented, but he is extremely talented; he is the head of our group,” wide receiver Keary Colbert said of Marshall. “If that happens, we have to be able to hold it down for him while he’s out.”
Marshall will get suspended by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, that’s a pretty safe bet. Hopefully, for the Broncos sake, Marshall will only be suspended for 1 or 2 games because quarterback Jay Cutler will have an awfully hard time finding anybody open without him on the field.
