Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth hit and killed a pedestrian while driving on a busy causeway linking Miami and Miami Beach on Saturday morning.

As of right now no charges have been filed against the 28-year old receiver but officers did take his blood to test for drugs and alcohol.

“We understand the seriousness of this situation, but will not have any further comment at this time as this is an ongoing investigation,” the Cleveland Browns said in a statement.

The pedestrian, Mario Reyes, 59, was pronounced dead at a nearby trauma center. It is still unclear if Reyes was crossing illegally or if Stallworth is at fault for the accident.
