Eagles, Bengals play to first NFL tie in 6 years
There were no winners or lossers Sunday afternoon when the Philadelphia Eagles played the Cincinnati Bengals — instead the game ended in the first NFL tie since 2002.
“We didn’t win. We didn’t lose, either,” said Bengals kicker Shayne Graham. “But sometimes, tying stings a little more.”
At the end of the 4th quarter these two teams were tied 13-13 and thanks to Shayne Graham’s missed 47-yard field goal with just 7-seconds left in overtime, the game ended 13-all.
After the game Donovan Mcnabb claimed he didn’t know NFL games could end in a tie.
“I didn’t know that,” said McNabb. “I’ve never been part of a tie. I never even knew it was in the rule book. I was looking forward to getting the opportunity to get out there and try to drive to win the game. But unfortunately with the rules, we settled with a tie.”
Philadelphia’s offense should have had an easy day against the Bengals horrible defense but instead McNabb made them look like the Ravens by throwing 3 interceptions. If his poor performance keeps up, Kevin Kolb may get a chance to show what he can do.
