Jeff Blackett, the disciplinary officer for the RFU, released a document that urges England’s new manager Martin Johnson to toughen up and get his players in order.

The document suggests there should be an imposed ban that would prevent players from bringing guests back to the hotel, as well as strict rules on the amount of alcohol players are allowed to drink.

Blackett stated: “There is clearly a need for a tighter rein on players when they are on England duty and they all need to be given clear guidelines about the limits of acceptable behavior.”

And after last month’s New Zealand fiasco Martin Johnson really does not have an option.
