The blood boosting drug EPO was the downfall of Tour de France and now it might be the down fall of the Olympics.

BBC did a bit of research and it seems that the labs are labeling blood that has EPO in it as negative. Which might lead, as one expert stated, to many of the finalists using EPO and getting away with it.

EPO and variations of it can be purchased over the Internet for under 50$ and some of the variations cannot be traced in the blood.

Professor Franke, who helped uncover the doping practices in Eastern Germany stated: “There are now a number of compounds that bind to the EPO receptor, and there is no single test for them, you can order it here over the internet and it will be delivered to you here in the UK or in Germany; Chinese-made doping substances”
