Falcons make Roddy White 3rd highest paid receiver

Wide receiver Roddy White has ended his hold-out after the Atlanta Falcons gave him a new 6-year deal worth $50 million ($18 million guaranteed), which makes him the 3rd higest paid receiver in the league behind Larry Fitzgerald and Steve Smith.
“We’re always going to be an organization that rewards players who have been productive on the field for us and good citizens off the field,” Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff said. “We’re glad to get this contract situation resolved and we look forward to a long association with Roddy.”
After fellow Atlanta receiver Harry Douglas tore his ACL last week, the Falcons really had no other choice, they had to get this deal done. The team still needs to get atleast one other receiving option for quarterback Matt Ryan. Currently he has White and Tony Gonzalez, but after that he has nobody else to catch the ball.
