Giants Beat Redskins in NFL Regular Season Opener
The New York Giants beat the Washington Redskins 16-7 in the first regular season game of the NFL this year.
“We played well and it’s no surprise to us,” defensive tackle Barry Cofield said. “We feel like we got capable guys and we held them for very few yards other than the two-minute situations where the got most of their yardage. We are confident in our defense and feel like if we stick with the scheme we’ll have success all year.”
Both offenses struggled to find the endzone during the game but like last year, the Giants defense still looked great and with a less conservative approach Eli Manning and co. could have easily scored atleast 2 more touchdowns.
