Guo Wenjun won the gold medal in the women’s 10m Air Pistol earlier today, setting an Olympic record in the process.

Natalia Paderina (Russia) took home the silver, while Nino Salukvadze (Georgia) won the bronze.

Guo Wenjun won China’s third gold medal of the games.

Nino Salukvadze certainly has to have the conflict in Georgia on her mind and she had this to say about her bronze medal performance:

“It (the bronze medal) was a small victory for my country, but my true hope is that in the sports family, we could all be friends,”
