Junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton easily beat Paulie Malignaggi with an with an 11th round TKO on Saturday night.

Hatton was destroying Malignaggi the entire match, forcing Malignaggi’s corner to throw in the towel with just 28 seconds left in the 11th round.

“I just couldn’t get to him,” Malignaggi said. “I couldn’t hit him.”

Hatton was happy to get the dominating victory, considering the last time most people saw him fight he was getting killed by Floyd Mayweather Jr. as a welterweight.

“I enjoyed it this time better than I did last time — that’s for sure,” Hatton said. “Nobody will beat me at junior welterweight — nobody.”

Hatton would like to get a match with the winner of Manny Pacquiao vs. Oscar de la Hoya next and there’s a good chance that’ll happen. But I don’t see Hatton beating either one of them.
