György Kolonics, Hungarian canoing Olympic champion died on Tuesday morning, while training for the Olympics at the Danube river.

He already won 2 Olympic medals and this was to be his 5th Olympic competition.

György Kolonics fell unconscious and could not be resuscitated.

His death is most likely due to heart failure.
