Internet access is still restricted at the Main Press Center in Beijing.

While all those years ago when China competed to be the host for the Olympics Chinese officials were full of promises that reports will be free to well report.

However just days before the Olympics are to start reporters still cannot access any website that has anything to do with Tibet or Amnesty International to name a few examples.

Kevan Gosper, who is one of the senior officials with the International Olympic Committee and also overseeing the preparations for the Games stated that the open Internet policy applied only to do with websites that are relevant for the different competitions.

Hm what if there is a riot at any of the events? How does one qualify that then?
