Italy’s Federica Pellegrini has won the gold medal for the 200-meter freestyle the the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

She won in 1 minute, 54.82 seconds. Sara Isakovic of Slovenia won the Silver with the time of 1:54.97 and Pang Jiaying time of 1:55.05 was good enough to win the bronze for China.

American Katie Hoff finished 4th with the time 1:55.7.
