Light heavyweight champion Joe Calzaghe has announced his retirement from boxing, joining only Rocky Marciano and Floyd Mayweather Jr. as the only champions to ever retire undefeated.

“I have achieved everything I wanted to achieve in boxing,” Calzaghe said.

If both Calzaghe and Mayweather actually stay retired it’s a disgrace to the sport of boxing. Neither of them belong in the same sentence as the Brockton Blockbuster.
